Maria Czechowski, OTR, RYT-500, AYS, owner of Lifepath Yoga Center, is a Registered Occupational Therapist with 30 years of clinical experience. Maria has been a practitioner of yoga on and off throughout her life, however after sustaining injuries in an accident in 2007, committed to a daily practice of yoga and experienced profound healing. Inspired, Maria became a Registered Yoga Teacher, and expanded her studies to include Qigong and Tai Chi. She received a Certification in Tai Chi Easy under the guidance of Dr. Roger Jahnke, O.M.D., Director of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi.
Maria opened the door of Lifepath Yoga Center in 2012, offering the healing practices of Yoga and Tai Chi Easy to the people in the small community of Western New York that she resides. Since then, Maria has received certifications as an Ayurveda Yoga Specialist and an Advanced Yoga Teacher* (2018) through the Himalayan Institute.
Maria is committed to living simply and authentically, incorporating Patanjali's 8 limbs of yoga into her daily life. She lives on a country hilltop, surrounded by nature, where she enjoys taking care of her family's miniature horses. When Maria is not practicing occupational therapy or teaching yoga and tai chi, she spends time in forests, hiking and in meditation.
Maria brings warmth, compassion and sensitivity to her yoga and tai chi easy classes, and gains great joy in witnessing the multitude of benefits her students gain from the practices.
John Czechowski, CEO of a Manufacturing Company (20+years), has a quest to find balance, peace, and to create inner happiness and healing. John found pathways to enlighten himself by practicing the arts of Qigong, Tai Chi and Reiki. Inspired to further study, he became a Tai Chi Practice Leader under Roger Jahnke, O,M.D., Director of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi. He continued his study of Qigong under Robert Peng, Chinese Qigong Master. Furthering his knowledge of healing practices, John became a Professional Teacher of all levels of Reiki under William Rand, President of the International Reiki Association. John is in awe by the depth of healing, on physical, emotional and spiritual levels, these practices have. He aspires to guide his students to reach goals toward healthier and happier living.
