This class may be appropriate for you if yoga is new to you or if you want a slow-paced, restorative yoga class. The gentle/restorative yoga class will focus on strengthening and lengthening your body in a very gentle way with the use of yoga props to support you as needed. This class will end with restorative yoga poses (with use of bolsters and blankets) and savasana (final relaxation) to bring you toward greater energy and vitality. Pranayama, or the awareness and control of the breath is taught throughout the class, thus quieting the mind. The asana's (poses) are selected for the beginner with a strong emphasis on postural alignment and safety.
