This class may be appropriate for you if yoga is new to you or if you want a slow-paced, gentle yoga class. The gentle yoga class focuses on improving strength, flexibility and balance within a full sequence of poses taught slowly and mindfully. This class will end with a restorative yoga pose and savasana (final relaxation) to bring you toward greater energy and vitality. Pranayama, or the awareness and control of the breath is taught throughout the class, thus promoting a meditative sense of stillness within. There are yoga props and blankets available for your use to help make poses more accessible as needed and for your comfort.
